The easy question now surrounding Bison football; "Didn't you see this coming?"
It seems easy to say that after North Dakota State posted a 12-0 record during the regular season, with its redshirt freshman quarterback being named the conference player of the year and the new head coach being named coach of the year. Each of those things happened last week as quarterback Trey Lance won three individual awards, while Matt Entz was named coach of the year.
The Bison accolades continued Monday with eleven players being named to the all-conference first and second team, three of them from the offensive line.
Now the challenge for this young team begins this weekend as the Bison open the FCS Playoffs as the number one seed, winners of 33 games in a row, welcoming in Nicholls State, who knocked off the University of North Dakota 24-6 in the first round of the FCS Playoffs.
