North Dakota State is waiting on its 2020 football season, but they have an eye on its recruits for 2021.
The Bison have 13 verbal commitments in next year's class and ten of them are playing right now.
Here's a brief recap of how NDSU's commits fared this weekend.
Barika Kpeenu (West Fargo Sheyenne) - Kpeenu and the Mustangs were in a scheduled bye week from the Eastern Dakota Conference this weekend. Sheyenne's team has gone into quarantine after a positive COVID-19 test on Friday. The Mustangs cannot practice until Saturday, October 3rd at the earliest, meaning Sheyenne's game with Grand Forks Central scheduled for October 2nd will not happen. Sheyenne's next scheduled game is set for Friday, October 9th against Fargo Davies. Kpeenu has carried the ball 81 times for 682 yards and nine touchdowns thru the first four games of the season for the Mustangs.
Enock Sibomana (Fargo South) - Enock and the Bruins were off this week, they are scheduled to play at Fargo North on Friday. He has two interceptions in three games played this season, he missed one game with an injury.
Truman Werremeyer (Fargo Davies) - Werremeyer and the Eagles were also off this week. Werremeyer and the Eagles are 4-0 on the season, they will face West Fargo this week in the WDAY Xtra Game of the Week. Payton was 10 of 12 for 141 yards and three touchdown passes and added two rushing touchdowns in the first half. The game was unique for Payton and Westside as Grand Island was not allowing visiting fans to the game, so they had no fans there at the game.
