OMAHA, Nebraska — Two Omaha pitchers teamed up to four-hit North Dakota State and the Mavericks defeated the Bison 7-0 on Saturday.

Omaha starter Richie Holetz went six innings, allowing two hits and surviving four walks, to get the win. He struck out six. Jarret Blunt picked up his first save of the season, throwing the final three innings and allowing two hits while striking out three.

The Mavericks' Jack Lombardi was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Mike Boeve had three hits and drove in two runs.

Jake Malec, Will Busch, Joey Danielson and Garret Hill had the Bison's hits.

The teams play the final game of a four-game set at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 4.
