FARGO — Grayson Haman and Cameron Van Dam led the Eagles to victory over Bismarck Century in North Dakota boys basketball Saturday.
Haman totaled 19 points, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, while Van Dam added 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. Davies also saw help from Owen Hekner with 10 points.
Davies shot 33-for-56 (58%) from the field, and out-rebounded Century 32-22.
The Eagles move to 1-0 overall, while Century falls to 0-1.
Fargo Shanley 73, Bismarck St. Mary’s 67
FARGO — Quincy Smith dropped 21 points to give Shanley a season-opening win over St. Mary’s.
Jacksun Uhler paced the Saints (0-1) with 20 points.
The Deacons moved to 1-0 this season.
Bismarck Legacy 82, Fargo South 73
FARGO — In the season opener for both sides, Bismarck Legacy picked up a road victory over Fargo South in North Dakota Class A boy’s basketball
Rhett Clements posted 27 points to lead the Sabers, followed closely by Keagen Woodbury’s 25.
Dany Lahai paced the Bruins with 15 points, while Kevin Hardy added 12.
Legacy opens their campaign 1-0, while the Bruins dropped to 0-1.
Bismarck 107, Fargo North 72
FARGO — Bismarck rolled North in a North Dakota boys basketball matchup.
Bismarck begins the season 1-0, while North falls to 0-1.
Fargo Shanley 66, Bismarck St. Mary’s 45
FARGO — Reile Payne’s double-double led Fargo Shanley over Bismarck St. Mary’s in North Dakota girls basketball.
Payne finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Hadley Huber added 17 points for Shanley, while Emily Srejma chipped in eight.
Hallie Schweitzer paced St. Mary’s with 18 points.
Shanley begins the season 1-0, while St. Mary’s falls to 0-1.
Moorhead Park Christian 57, Fargo Oak Grove 42
GLYNDON, Minn. — Karley Motschenbacher led Park Chirstian over Oak Grove in high school girls basketball Saturday.
Motschenbacher totaled 20 points, three rebounds, five assists and five steals. Eden Tofibam added 16 points and nine rebounds, while Avery Aakre chipped in seven points for the Falcons.
Morgan Niemiller and Remi Johnson paced the Grovers with nine points each.
Park Christian rose to 3-1 overall and Oak Grove dropped to 0-2.
Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 66, Wheaton-Herman-Norcross 64
GLYNDON, Minn. — D-G-F held on to narrowly top Wheaton-Herman-Norcross Saturday night in Minnesota girls basketball.
Maria Watt’s 18 points led the Rebels. Peyton Wilson posted 15 points, while Megan Thune and Evelyn Moe added 12 and 10, respectively.
Maycee Tollefson led Wheaton-Herman-Norcross with 16 points.
With their first win of the season, D-G-F moved to 1-3 overall. The Warriors dropped to 1-1.
Bismarck 75, Fargo North 46
BISMARCK — Bismarck cruised to victory over North to open the season.
Bismarck improved to 1-0, while North dropped to 0-1.
Bismarck Legacy 71, Fargo South 44
BISMARCK — Legacy breezed past Fargo South in North Dakota girls basketball Saturday.
Arianna Berryhill led Legacy with 30 points, while Adie Wagner paced South with a team-high 26 points.
