FRISCO, Texas — Snow flurries fell on the Saturday morning of the NCAA Division I championship at Toyota Stadium. That soggy weather didn't put a damper on what turned out to be a classic title game.

"That was a fun one, wasn't it?" Bison head coach Matt Entz said after the game.

North Dakota State edged James Madison 28-20 as the Bison won their eight national title in nine seasons. The Bison are the first college football team to go 16-0 since the Yale Bulldogs in 1894. They have a 128-8 record over the past nine seasons. Bison senior safety James Hendricks sealed the victory Saturday with an interception near the goal line in the closing seconds.

The Saturday morning snow came on the heels of heavy rainfall late Friday. The conditions improved throughout the game Saturday.
