FARGO — North Dakota State made history Saturday, Jan. 11, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

The Bison held off James Madison late for a 28-20 victory to win their third consecutive NCAA Division I FCS championship and cap a perfect season. NDSU became the first college football team since the Yale Bulldogs to go 16-0 in a season.

The Bison extended their FCS record winning streak to 37 games and have won eight of the past nine FCS titles. NDSU has a 128-8 record over the past nine seasons.
