FARGO — Greg Madia covers Division I FCS power James Madison for the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg, Va. The No. 1-ranked Dukes are undefeated during the spring season, but don't have any games scheduled for the remainder of the regular season due to games being called off during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Madia joined the Bison Media Zone FCS roundtable to discuss the Dukes (4-0), the Colonial Athletic Association and the overall FCS landscape during a spring season with unique challenges due to COVID-19.

The Dukes and North Dakota State played for the NCAA Division I FCS national title game for the 2019 season, a game in which the Bison earned a 28-20 victory. This spring's 16-team FCS playoff field, which includes 11 automatic bids, is set to be announced on April 18.
