FARGO — Valparaiso outscored North Dakota State 20-11 in the fourth quarter on its way to a 66-54 win in women's college basketball Friday night at Scheels Center.
Trailing by just three points entering the fourth, the Bison were unable to capture their first win of the season, going 1 of 7 from the field in the closing minutes, including 0 of 14 from 3-point range.
Emily Dietz paced NDSU with 14 points and six rebounds. Michelle Gaislerova added 12 points, while Sofija Zivaljevic posted a team-high 11 rebounds.
Addison Stoller led Valparaiso with 21 points. The Crusaders knocked down 10 3-pointers.
NDSU (0-3) travels to Omaha, Neb., to face Creighton at 6 p.m. Monday.
