NEWTON, Kansas — North Dakota State's men's golf team remains near the top of the leaderboard at the Summit League Championship but its path to a win grew longer after Sunday's second round of the three-round tournament at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
The Bison entered the day tied for second with Denver, one shot behind Oral Roberts. But Denver shot up the board Sunday and sits at 573, nine shots clear of Oral Roberts. The Bison are third, 11 shots behind the Pioneers.
Oral Roberts' Jackson Howes leads the individual tournament with a two-day total of 137. Bison freshman Nate Adams is tied for fifth at 145 and NDSU sophomore Nate Deziel is tied for 11th at 147. The championship concludes Monday beginning at 9:40 a.m. at Sand Creek Station.
