FARGO — North Dakota State took a two-goal lead at the half and held off Oral Roberts down the stretch to pick up a 3-2 win, the Bison's first victory of the season, on Friday.

NDSU's Olivia Lovick scored two goals early in the game, first scoring on an assist from Alicia Nead at 16:43 and then striking again on an assist from Kelsey Kallio fewer than two minutes later at 18:26.

Oral Roberts' Samantha See scored at 23:09 but the Bison's Jess Hanley scored unassisted at 24:57 to reestablish the two-goal lead.

The teams played scoreless soccer from that point until Oral Roberts' Pamela Caballeros scored on a penalty kick at 67:59.

Bison goalkeeper Sofia Howe made four saves and OR's Louisa Ramsauer stopped two shots.
