VERMILLION, S.D. — The North Dakota State volleyball team played South Dakota close but the Bison ultimately fell to the Coyotes in four sets on Sunday.

South Dakota won 26-24, 25-19, 24-26, 27-25.

Ali Hinze led the Bison with 19 kills, Alexis Bachmeier had 16 and Allie Mauch had 14. Kelley Johnson had 42 set assists and 15 digs, and Taylor Quan had 28 digs.

Elizabeth Juhnke led the Coyotes with 23 kills and Madison Jurgens finished with 47 assists.
