FARGO — North Dakota State didn't play a perfect match but it was more than good enough to down Summit League rival North Dakota 25-19, 25-15, 25-17 on Saturday night.

NDSU's Syra Tanchin had a team-high 12 kills and she had three blocks, and Ali Hinze finished with 10 kills and 17 digs. Michelle Glover had nine kills, hit .562 with no attack errors in 16 attempts and she had four blocks. Alexandria Hicks had eight kills and two blocks.

Bison setter Raegen Reilly had 36 assists and 13 digs, and Quan Taylor had 20 digs.

The Fighting Hawks were beset by errors, with 18 miscues against 27 total kills for an .069 hitting percentage. Lexi Ahrens led the Hawks with seven kills and Maddy Hornyak and Ashlyn Olson both had five. Elizabeth Norris had 13 assists and Kortney Carney had 11.

NDSU improved to 3-6 in the Summit League and 9-12 overall. They play at Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21.
