Aeropostale at West Acres has donated teddy bears to the Nokomis Child Care Centers in Fargo.

The West Acres Aeropostale is one of more than 900 stores throughout the nation that donates teddy bears to children at local hospitals and charitable organizations each year.

United Way chooses 35 women for program

Thirty-five local women have been chosen as the 2012 class of the United Way 35 Under 35 Women's Leadership Program.

The group will meet monthly for six sessions which focus on various issues pertinent to young female leaders.

Each session's speakers will focus on topics such as goals, board leadership, public speaking, conflict management, interpersonal skills, philanthropy and mentorship.
