FARGO - The city of Fargo will host open forums Feb. 18 and 19 to discuss business opportunity zones.
The meetings will be held from 9 a.m. to noon both days in the City Commission chambers at City Hall, 225 4th St. N. They will be live-streamed on the city’s communication channels and through social media, too.

The meetings will include regional representatives from the United States Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Small Business Administration, Economic Development Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, and North Dakota housing and economic development offices. Local developers and other community partners have also been invited.
A bus tour will be held from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 19.
The forums will provide an overview of the new Opportunity Zone program and include a discussion with development partners as Fargo city officials seek to meet the demand for affordable housing.
Members of the City Commission, Cass County Commission, Fargo Park District and Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority are invited and several quorums of these public bodies may be reached.
