FARGO -- North Dakota's first Wingstop restaurant is expected to open early next year in the former Reese & Riley's restaurant at 2653 45th St. S. in Fargo.
According to city of Fargo building permit records, Great States Construction has taken out a $195,000 building permit to convert the site into a Wingstop restaurant.
Sandy Kundert, chief financial officer for Anderson Franchise Investments, confirmed the news Wednesday, Dec. 12, and added that the site would also be home to a Marco's Pizza. Both restaurants are expected to open in late January or early February, Kundert said.
Anderson Franchise Investments first opened People's Organic Cafe at the site in March 2014. It was replaced by a Perla's Fresh Mexican restaurant in 2016. Both restaurants were original concepts for the company.
Reese & Riley's operated there from November 2017 until March of 2018. It's now located in Moorhead's Azool Center, 935 37th Ave. S. in Moorhead.
