MOORHEAD — The Perkins Restaurant and Bakery property in north Moorhead has been put up for sale or lease, according to information on the Fargo-Moorhead area real estate multiple listing service.
The property's list price is $1,075,000, according to the listing by Goldmark Commercial Real Estate.
The building, built in 1993, is 4,769 square feet and the lot is 1.27 acres or 55,321 square feet, according to the listing.
The corporate-owned restaurant at 3005 U.S. Highway 10 East has been closed since Jan. 25. The restaurant had a water main break that flooded it, the Moorhead Fire Department and a plumbing repair business confirmed at the time.
“Unfortunately, the restaurant did sustain extensive flooding damage,” Vivian Brooks, a spokeswoman for Perkins, said Tuesday, March 19, in an emailed reply to questions from The Forum.
Brooks said it was too early to speculate on whether Perkins would instead open a restaurant in another part of Moorhead or perhaps in Fargo or West Fargo.
“We really appreciate yours, and the community’s interest and patience until we have more information to share. In the meantime we invite our guests to dine with us at the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Fargo, just across the river,” Brooks said.
