FARGO — The U.S. Soybean Export Council is hosting more than 50 international delegates from over 10 countries in Fargo this week as part of an ongoing tour of the soy industry in the upper Midwest.
The council has been taking representatives from across Asia and the Americas around the Midwest for soybean farm tours and demonstrations. Delegates visited a soybean farm in Hillsboro, N.D., Monday, afternoon June 10.
The representatives from Taiwan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and South Asia also heard from professors at the Northern Crops Institute on the campus of North Dakota State University in Fargo.
U.S. exporters aim to show soy buyers the strengths of the soy industry in the Northern Plains region, particularly when it comes to logistics and infrastructure, the soy council said in a news release.
