Diehl named foundation development officer
The FM Area Foundation has hired Greg Diehl as development officer.
Diehl is a native of Mandan, N.D., and he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary, Bismarck. Since 2013, he’s been the administrator of the Emergency Food Pantry of Fargo-Moorhead.
He was previously executive director of the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead and, prior to that, the sales and marketing manager of Red Flag Green Flag Resources, the publications component of the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.
Sanford Health hires seven new providers
Seven new providers have joined the Sanford Health team in Fargo: Dr. Seth Rishi, Dr. Mohamed Mohamed and Dr. Daniel Rogers, Sanford Medical Center; Dr. Parviz Gholami, Sanford Broadway Clinic; Dr. Ann Safo, Sanford Southpointe Clinic; Joanna Johnson, nurse practitioner, Sanford South University; and Danielle Danielson, certified family nurse practitioner, Sanford Heart.
Rishi received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, West Indies. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
Mohamed received his medical degree from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Rogers received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, and his fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University of Rochester in New York.
Gholami received his medical degree from Tehran University Medical School in Iran. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond.
Safo received her medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota, North Memorial Medical Center, Minneapolis.
Johnson completed her graduate degree at UND and is certified as a psychiatry and mental health nurse practitioner.
Danielson completed her graduate degree at North Dakota State University. She specializes in cardiology.
Seven promoted at Discovery Benefits
Discovery Benefits in Fargo has promoted Virginia Jackson to renewal manager; Tessa Gillson, Brenda LeNoue, Jordon Dethlefsen, Thomas Boden and Ty Hiedeman to account managers; and Jonathan Steiger to quality analyst.
Jackson began working at Discovery Benefits in 2009 and has held positions as COBRA operations specialist, COBRA renewal specialist, COBRA implementation manager and billing solutions analyst. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in media culture and film.
Gillson started working at the company in 2014 as a benefits account specialist. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in human resources from Southwest Minnesota State University. She previously held positions at Foster & Klima, Optum Health and Boom Lab.
LeNoue joined Discovery Benefits in 2004 and has held multiple roles at the company, including task coordinator and benefits account specialist. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She was previously the director of sales and marketing for Deadwood (S.D.) Gulch Resort.
Dethlefsen started working at Discovery Benefits in 2014 as a benefits account specialist. He graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College with an associate degree in business management, marketing and sales. He previously worked at U.S. Bank.
Boden began working at the company in 2013 as a participant services specialist. He studied music education at North Dakota State University and was previously employed as a banking representative and an online services operator at Bank of the West.
Hiedeman joined Discovery Benefits in 2014 as a benefits account specialist. He graduated from Military Intelligence Analyst School in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and is currently attending American Military University with a focus on intelligence operations. Before working at Discovery Benefits, he worked as a fraud analyst at U.S. Bank.
Steiger started working for Discovery Benefits in 2013 as a participant services specialist. His previous work includes positions with U.S. Bank and Kelly Services.
BW Insurance hires three in Fargo agency
BW Insurance, Fargo, has hired Nancy Kurtz as a customer service agent, and Deborah Brunsvold and Christina Maynard as commercial account managers.
Kurtz recently moved to the Fargo area from Devils Lake, N.D., where she worked at a local insurance agency. She has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Brunsvold is a Fargo native and has 18 years of experience in commercial insurance and the independent insurance arena.
Maynard graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in business. She worked for Auto-Owners Insurance as an underwriter and most recently worked in the independent agency industry.
Dahl joins Essentia Clinic at West Acres
Christina Dahl, a nurse practitioner, has joined the family medicine department at the Essentia Health Clinic at West Acres, Fargo.
Dahl has worked as a registered nurse at Essentia’s Birthing Center for the past 11 years. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Mary in Bismarck and is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics.
Three promoted at Cornerstone Bank
Cornerstone Bank in Fargo has promoted Mahira Brgulja to business banking associate, Pam Paseka to lead mortgage loan processor and Jessica Bristow to executive assistant. All work at the bank’s location on 45th Street South.
Brgulja joined Cornerstone Bank as a teller in 2013. Paseka and Bristow both joined the bank as mortgage loan processors in 2013.
Steiner joins Knowlton, O’Neill and Associates
Julie Steiner, a licensed independent clinical social worker, has joined Knowlton, O’Neill and Associates at 1401 13th Ave. E., West Fargo.
Steiner provides treatment to children, adolescents, adults and families for depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, grief and loss, and trauma-related issues.
She has special interests in play and experiential therapies, adoption and early childhood mental health and is also an LGBT Affirmative therapist.
She received a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of St. Thomas/College of St. Catherine, St. Paul.
Tweiten promoted to VP position at AgCountry
Russ Tweiten has been promoted to vice president of agribusiness consulting at AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Fargo.
Tweiten will continue to serve customers in south-central and southeastern North Dakota and western Minnesota with succession and retirement planning services.
He has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University.
Lakeland names Unruh to adult services team
Lakeland Mental Health Center, Moorhead, has added Lacey Unruh to its adult services team. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from North Dakota State University.
Her previous behavioral health experience includes working at the Dakotah Foundation as a transitional living supervisor and at the YWCA.

Cass County Electric Cooperative, Fargo, has hired Peter Koepp as communications coordinator and Bryce Johanneck as a full-time power control technician.
Koepp is originally from the Sartell, Minn., area and is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in English.
Johanneck is originally from the Litchfield, Minn., area, and he previously worked as a journeyman line worker for Kandiyohi Power Cooperative, Spicer, Minn.
