FARGO-Some big changes are in store for Dakota Certified Development Corporation. Later this month, Dakota CDC will move into its new headquarters at 5630 36th Ave. S. in Fargo. And as of Jan. 1, 2018, the organization will change its name to Dakota Business Lending.
Construction on the new headquarters began in June. The 5,800-square-foot facility feature an open, flexible and collaborative environment.
In a written statement, President and CEO Steve Dusek explained the open layout will help Dakota Business Lending better serve its customers.
"We believe working in an open environment not only strengthens the connection between our team members," Dusek said. "It also encourages collaboration, which ensures that our staff is constantly thinking outside the box to come up with innovative and creative lending solutions to better serve our clients."
Dusek also explained that the move presented them an opportunity to refresh their brand with a new name.
"This name change will create visual identity and remembrance, expand our reach and convey to our small business community and lending partners what we are all about in a very meaningful way," continued Dusek. "We chose this new name to reflect more of what we do while, at the same time, paying tribute to elements of the previous name and history."
