Essentia Health Welcomes Dr. Nathan Kobrinsky

Dr. Nathan Kobrinsky, a pediatric specialist in hematology/oncology, has joined the Essentia Health Cancer Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Dr. Kobrinsky specializes in blood disorders in children and adults and in cancer in children and young adults.

"I have lived and worked in Fargo for 27 years. At Essentia Health, I feel like I’m part of a family-centered health care system," says Dr. Kobrinsky.

Dr. Kobrinsky earned a medical degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the Health Sciences Center, also in Winnipeg. He completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. He is also certified by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in pediatrics, and in hematology.

"In medical school I was fascinated by the physiology of blood and of cancer. As an intern, I cared for a terminally ill adolescent with bone cancer. It was at that time I realized that this was my destiny," explains Dr. Kobrinsky.
