FARGO — Uncle Maddio's Pizza, a pizza franchise that opened in 2014 in the Prairie Stone Center at 1690 45th St. S., will close for business Nov. 26.
The owner made the announcement in a Facebook post Friday afternoon, Nov. 22.
"It is with a heavy heart that I (am) writing this message to let you all know that we will be permanently closing our doors on November 26th. We can't thank you all enough for supporting the restaurant for the past year since we took ownership and the many years before that.
"I had a blast getting to work side by side with my daughters and getting to see so many of your friendly faces time and time again. We hope to see many of you one last time before we close next week," the post read.

Troy and Jamie Mattern opened the restaurant here in 2014.
Mattern, head football coach at Shanley High School in Fargo, said they decided to secure North Dakota franchise rights to Uncle Maddio's after visiting the brand's home base in Atlanta.
"Everything is a 9-inch pizza, so you can go through and as a family everyone can have their own pizza," he said. "We have a signature menu where people can pick and choose over 3 million combinations."
Within two hours, the Facebook announcement had picked up over 50 comments. Many of those who commented praised the restaurant for its gluten-free options.
"I'm so sad to hear this. One of the rare restaurants here in Fargo that I could get gluten free pizza that tastes great and I never got sick (contaminated) from. I will really miss you," read one post.
Jason Harmon took over the restaurant Jan. 1, 2019, according to an employee who answered the phone Friday afternoon.
The Facebook post concluded by stating the restaurant's space was available for lease.
