FARGO - Bank of the West here is shifting 70 jobs to an Omaha, Neb. office.
The bank said it's moving its consumer finance operations to an existing Omaha center in the second quarter.
Bank of the West said it's just combining its operation. None of the eight branches in North Dakota, including three in Fargo, will close.
The employees whose jobs are affected can move to Omaha. If employees do not want to move, Bank of the West will help them find a new job, or offer a severance package.
Bank of the West still employs 280 people in Fargo.
