Beans Coffee Bar was established in 2014 by Heidi “Beans” Holland and her husband in honor of Holland’s late father, Don. Heidi’s dad gave her the nickname “beans” when she was little and it stuck ever since. They shared a “passion for coffee” t which inspired Heidi to dedicate Beans Coffee Bar in his memory.

The coffee shops have been a community highlight for years offering fresh, housemade donuts, special daily brews, and a plethora of sweets and treats at all of their locations!

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
