Winner: Four Corners Convenience Store

Detroit Lake's Four Corners Convenience Store reopened just a few months ago under new ownership, but customers are already calling it a favorite.
"They all come in and they can't believe the change from the way the store used to be," Manager Cheryl Behlmer says. "We get a lot of good comments."
Behlmer said the convenience store that had a restaurant had been closed for three years before Joshua James and Kayla Jean Swangler, Brian Edward Nelson, Cari Kay and Michael Gerhard, and Dean Hough took over ownership. They remodeled the building and reopened it May 22.

People have been impressed by the friendly customer service and the products available in the grocery store, Behlmer says It also has a license for liquor.
"It just looks great," she says. "We got bait. We just have everything here."
