How many brews are on tap?
“We have 12 faucets and 11 of those are for beer,” said co-owner Aaron Juhnke. “One of them is for coffee on a nitro tap.”
What’s the most unusual beer you put out?
“We make a lot of experimental beers, but right now a more unusual one is our Shake-o-Matic series of milkshake style IPAs. These beers are brewed like an IPA, but with lower bitterness, and we also use vanilla beans, lactose and fruit,” Junke explained. “Our most recent release is the Raspberry Lime Shake-o-Matic.”
What’s new or coming up for Junkyard?

“We're finishing a new canning line soon, which means less labor for us to package our beer in the big ‘crowler’ cans that we use, which are about 25 ounces each,” Juhnke said. “We are also looking forward to next summer and a potential patio renovation with a permanent pergola so our patio feels more enclosed and cozy, and we’re also talking about adding natural gas fire pits. Plus, our smaller brewing system is going back into operation to increase the amount of barrel-aged and aged sour beers that we produce.”
