BernBaum’s in downtown Fargo has garnered attention from food lovers far and wide, including a 2021 article by Food & Wine magazine that lauded the eatery for having one of the best bagels in the country. A recent New York Times travel writer said it was the best Jewish deli she’s ever visited .
A 2017 piece in Food & Wine also praised BernBaum’s, stating: “the Jewish/Scandinavian deli routinely comes up in conversations about Fargo’s best restaurants.”
In 2020, Andrea Baumgardner, chef and co-owner of BernBaum’s, was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Award, the biggest award in the restaurant industry.
