Concordia to host leadership conference
The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work at Concordia College will present "Leadership Development in the Changing Workplace," a three-part conference, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 18, Oct. 16 and Nov. 20 at the Barry Auditorium, Offutt School of Business in Concordia's Grant Center.
Topics for the conference include "Managing Your Own Career," "Building Company Culture," "Mergers and Acquisitions," "Addressing Ethical Issues" and "Mentoring in the Workplace."
Cost is $190 per person ($150 each with three or more from the same company). It is also available on live streaming for $150. Continuing education credits are available.

Affordable Healthcare Act topic of seminar
The West Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center will sponsor a "What Small Businesses Need to Know about the Affordable Healthcare Act" seminar from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Barry Auditorium in the Offutt School of Business on the Concordia College campus in Moorhead.
The seminar will cover health insurance exchanges, insurance taxes, insurance rules going into effect including essential health benefits, rating rules, mandates for certain employers to provide qualifying health coverage to employees, date report requirements for employers and more.
