Pladson, Hendrickson present at conferences

Kim Pladson, executive director of TNT Kid's Fitness, Fargo, gave a presentation on June 27 in Washington, D.C., at the annual Department of Education conference. The focus of her presentation was special-needs children having inclusion with physical activity in after-school programming.

Pladson and Nate Hendrickson, special needs and fitness director at TNT, gave a presentation June 28 at the National Congress Seminar during the gymnastics Olympic trials in San Jose, Calif. Their presentations were focused on special-needs inclusion for gymnastics programs across the United States.

Prairie Family Business Conference set Sept. 18

Concordia College will host the daylong Prairie Family Business Conference on Sept. 18 at the Knutson Campus Center.

Family business consultants and business-owning families will share their experiences and expertise on the challenges facing family businesses.

The keynote speaker will be Jamie Richardson of White Castle Restaurants. Other presenters include Chris Young of The Rainmaker Group, Larry Hause of Hause Family Business Transitions and Sandra McNeely of The Abbey Group, and others.

New Staybridge Suites now open in Minot

Staybridge Suites has opened a new hotel in Minot, N.D.

The hotel features 102 guest rooms, all with full kitchens, work centers, Wi-Fi and bedding.

The new Staybridge also offers a complimentary breakfast for guests each morning, a dinner and social four nights a week, a media room and a courtyard with fire pits and barbecues.

Owned by Premier Hospitality, the new hotel is managed by National Hospitality Services of Fargo.
