FARGO — The Casa Mexico Restaurant is now open in the Time Square East mall.
The eatery quietly started serving Saturday evening Nov. 16, at 4950 13th Ave. S., Manager Alfonso Rodriguez said.
The spacious restaurant, which can seat 250 to 280 people, had perhaps a handful of patrons mid-afternoon Monday, Nov. 18, but the tantalizing smell of the fajitas - one of the eatery’s made-fresh specialties - could change that quickly.
The menu is expansive, with more than 100 meals, including a children’s menu and vegetarian and American cuisine options, appetizers and desserts. The restaurant also has a full liquor license.

The space, which once housed an Applebee’s and a Village Inn (which closed in 2018), has gotten a complete makeover. The interior is done in yellows, reddish-orange and brown, with eye-catching paintings of Mexican men and women and sun and star sculptures throughout.
The restaurant offers online ordering and will soon have a line service area open for people who want to grab their meals quickly, Rodriguez said.
