Chamber postpones 2020 Voices of Vision to April

The Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce announced Monday, Aug. 3 that retired four-star admiral William H. McRaven will headline the 2020 Voices of Vision.

FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday, Sept. 1, the 2020 Voices of Vision event has been postponed to April 14, 2021, at the Delta by Marriott.

"The Chamber is committed to protecting the health of our members and continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation. After careful consideration, we are postponing Voices of Vision to April 2021," a statement posted to the Chamber's website read . "We're genuinely disappointed not to be able to host this event in November as planned, but rescheduling will enable us to provide the experience that our members expect and deserve in a safe environment."

Retired four-star Adm. William H. McRaven is scheduled to be the speaker at the event. McRaven came to national fame in 2017 when his 2014 University of Texas commencement speech titled "Make Your Bed" went viral. The video has garnered north of 11 million views on the university's alumni association's YouTube channel.

Individual registrations for the event are sold out, the Chamber said, but those interested can register for a waitlist to be notified should COVID-19 guidelines be altered before the event.
