FARGO — Chipotle Mexican Grill is now ready to help students at nearby North Dakota State University celebrate bulling through their finals with made-to-order burritos.
Chipotle is up and running at 1204 19th Ave. N., complete with the state’s first "Chipotlane" drive-thru pickup window for orders placed online.
Ryan Jacques, who just graduated from NDSU with a degree in finance and economics, is a big fan of the popular burrito chain.
"I'd have to say I'm probably addicted to Chipotle," the Lakeville, Minn., man said Friday, Dec. 20. "I'm glad I just graduated because otherwise they'd get all my money."
The restaurant, the second Chipotle in North Dakota, opened Wednesday, Dec. 18, General Manager Alandra Matthews said. The other restaurant is at 1680 45th St. S., Fargo.

"So far, so good," Matthews said of the opening. "We're gearing up for the weekend. We have a final Bison game. We're gearing up for that."
The store has 30 employees and Matthews needs to hire another 15 people. Matthews said that's because the northside Chipotle is twice as large as the company's typical stores, plus it has the drive-thru.
Chipotle had more than 2,500 restaurants and 80,000 employees in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany as of June 30.

Steve Ells, founder and executive chairman of the company, started Chipotle with a single restaurant in Denver in 1993.
Chipotle stock closed at $834.53, up $1.05, on Friday on the New York Stock Exchange.
