Farm in the Dell RRV event raises $30,000
The Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley fundraising event held April 4 at the Ramada Plaza and Suites in Fargo raised $30,000 through donations and a silent auction.
The nonprofit organization is working to develop a Christian home and workplace in a rural setting in the Fargo-Moorhead area for individuals with disabilities.
FirstLink receives $4,000 grant from DMF
FirstLink, Fargo, has received a $4,000 grant from Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo, to support management of its programs.

With this grant and other donations from area donors, FirstLink raised $12,844 on Giving Hearts Day in February.
J&A Farms donates eggs to food bank
The Great Plains Food Bank, Fargo, has received a donation of 3,000 eggs from J&A Farms, Lake Park, Minn.
This is the sixth year J&A Farms has donated eggs to the food bank.
The eggs will be distributed throughout the month to food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.
Bank funding Senior Crimestoppers program
First International Bank and Trust has joined the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation to help protect seniors at the Sheyenne Crossings Care Center in West Fargo. The bank is funding the Senior Crimestoppers program for people residing at the care facility.
The program offers a coordinated set of components to create a zero tolerance to crime in senior housing facilities, including lockboxes for residents, cash rewards paid anonymously for information about wrongdoing and ongoing education and training for staff and residents.

Food, funds donated to Great Plains Food Bank
Employees from county social service offices, the North Dakota Department of Human Services and other social service community partners collected 431 pounds of grocery and household items and more than $3,500 in monetary donations for the Great Plains Food Bank, Fargo.
The food drive was held in conjunction with the annual spring showcase, a professional development and training conference held in Mandan, N.D.
The Northwest Region won the Make a Difference traveling trophy for donating the most to the food drive. Counties in the region include Bottineau, Burke, Divide, McHenry, Mountrail, Renville and Ward.
The Great Plains Food Bank will distribute the nonperishable food items to food pantries across North Dakota. The money collected will enable the food bank to purchase approximately 14,000 additional food items for the pantries.
JPII Catholic Schools in Fargo awarded grant
Dakota Medical Foundation in Fargo has awarded a $4,500 grant to the JPII Catholic Schools in Fargo.
The funds will support the school nurse program and wellness activities in the schools.
