TVs donated to local Ronald McDonald House
Western Products, Fargo, has donated 12 wall-mounted flat panel televisions to the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley.
The televisions will be installed in homes operated by the non-profit throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Employees of Western Products raised almost $3,500 at company-sponsored events to purchase the televisions.
Kindred FFA receives $2,500 donation
Scott Nipstad, a farmer from the Hickson, N.D., area, has directed a $2.500 donation to the Kindred (N.D.) FFA. Funded by America's Farmers Grow Communities, the donation will help the group with scholarships for its members to attend leadership conferences and competition.
America's Farmers Grow Communities works directly with farmers to support nonprofit organizations who are doing work in their communities. The program offers farmers the chance to win $2,500, which is then donated to the farmer's nonprofit of choice.
Casey's to host 'Dog Tag' promotion in May
Casey's General Stores will host a "Dog Tag" promotion throughout May to raise funds and awareness for Hope for the Warriors, a national nonprofit organization that serves the needs of service members and military families.
Customers can purchase a dog tag for $1 at any of Casey's more than 1,800 stores. The dog tags will be displayed throughout the store. This is the third year Casey's has supported the organization, and the event has raised more than $745,000.
Youth club receives $1,000 from Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola has donated $1,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley, Fargo.
The money will be used to purchase physical activity equipment and fund health education.
Gate City Bank donates over $173K to charities
Since the beginning of the year, Gate City Bank has donated more than $173,000 to nonprofit organizations across North Dakota and western Minnesota.
Organizations in Fargo that received donations included: American Cancer Society; American Diabetes Association; Catholic Charities of North Dakota; Cats Cradle Shelter; Charism; Children's Vision International; Churches United for the Homeless; DMF; Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Clinic; First Choice Clinic; FM Opera; Fraser; Friends of Huntington's Disease; Great Plains Food Bank; Habitat for Humanity; Historical and Cultural Society;
Hospice of the RRV; Impact Foundation; Kennedy Elementary Great Plains Food Bank Backpack Program; Longfellow Elementary; Make-A-Wish Foundation; ND Alzheimer's Association; ND Jumpstart; NDSU; New Life Center; Remember Our Soldiers; South Elementary PTA; The Village Family Service; United Way of Cass Clay; West Fargo Exchange Club; West Fargo Packer Backer; West Fargo Sheyenne Mustang Booster; and the YMCA of Cass Clay.
Donations were also made to regional organizations including: Boy Scouts of America Northern Lights Council; Special Olympics; United Way; and YMCA.
