DoorDash will be opening a DashMart location inside the Time Square West plaza at 5050 13th Ave. S. Building permit records showed that the renovation of the over 5,000-square-foot space will check in at a cost of $130,000. A company spokesperson confirmed the coming location to The Forum via email.

DoorDash first debuted the DashMart concept in 2020. DashMart is described as “a new type of neighborhood grocery store,” that will be “offering customers thousands of fresh groceries, household essentials, local treats and more — delivered right to their doorsteps.”

The DashMart location will be “owned, operated and curated” by DoorDash. Unlike a standard grocery or convenience store, DashMarts are for pick-up and delivery only, meaning they are closed to walk-in customers.

Users can place a DashMart order through the DoorDash app. On average, DashMarts carry 2,000 items per store. Those offerings include convenience, grocery and restaurant items, ranging from “fresh and frozen grocery staples to household essentials, pet food, snacks and ready-made restaurant meals and packaged spices and rubs from local merchants.”

The DashMart in Fargo will offer local vendors a new way to attract customers, while shoppers will have a new option for their shopping. “For merchants, this offers a new distribution channel for them to reach customers online, transforming how our merchant partners can sell their retail products,” the spokesperson wrote. “For customers, DashMart is connecting them to the best in their cities and offering a new avenue for people to discover their favorite restaurant brands online while stocking up on everyday essentials.”
