Fargo's Kum & Go gas station closes, another car wash opens, and SBA seeks Small Business Week nominations

FARGO — Fargo's lone Kum & Go gas station at 2237 13th Ave. S. has closed.

The station closed this spring, but many readers may not have noticed due to ongoing construction on 13th Avenue.

According to the franchise website , the remaining Kum & Go locations in North Dakota are located in the western half of the state. Kum & Gos continue to do business in Minot, Bismarck, Williston, Tioga, Bowman, Hettinger and Watford City, N.D.

All of the three Custom Express locations in the metro area are now Tommy's Express Car Wash. This is the Moorhead Highway 10 location on May 16.

Tommy's Express opens 2nd car wash in Moorhead

Tommy’s Express has opened a second car wash in Moorhead at 3115 8th St. S. To celebrate, the new location as well as the Tommy's Express near the Easten Shopping Center, 3102 Highway 10, will offer free car washes Friday, Sept. 9, until 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.


This is the national franchise’s seventh location in Minnesota.

The franchise did business as Custom Express Car Washes until changing its name to Tommy's Express in May of 2022.

SBA seeking nominations for Small Business Week

The SBA's district office in North Dakota is now accepting nominations for the 2023 National Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year Award.

Nominations must be received no later than 2 p.m. Dec. 8.
