FARGO - The Radisson Blu hotel is adding Tuscan-inspired cuisine to its offerings.
A new restaurant, 84 Italian Steakhouse, is expected to open in late September, Brandt Hospitality Group announced Thursday, Sept. 9.
“84 Italian Steakhouse will be replacing the restaurant side of Level 2 Eats + Drinks and the lounge side will become our BLU BAR. The timing on the BLU BAR is a little further out as we await delivery of some product and full installation of the charitable gambling,” Steve Martodam, president and COO of Brandt Hospitality, said in an email.
Earlier this year, Radisson Blu, 201 5th St. N., completed an extensive renovation of its guest rooms and hotel spaces .
Longtime Fargo and New York restaurateur Monte Jones is teaming with executive chef Ryan Shearer on 84 Italian.

“From the moment you arrive and throughout the entire dining experience, you will feel like the most important members of our 84 Italian family. That’s our promise to you and simply the kind of people we are.” Jones said.
Jones was involved in the Silver Moon Supper Club and Monte’s in Fargo.

Steaks will take center stage on the menu, complemented by a gourmet Italian cuisine and seafood, and an expertly curated wine list.
“Through my time cooking in downtown Fargo, I have never been more excited than I am now. We have the dream team working their hardest to bring an Italian steakhouse to downtown. What we are delivering on is an invigorated classic, something familiar but also a breath of fresh air," Shearer said.
The restaurant will be open daily for dinner. Breakfast and lunch will continue to be served daily in the adjacent BLU BAR.
