FARGO - The $18 million first phase of the Uptown & Main residential and commercial development in southwest Fargo is expected to be ready to open about Aug. 15, according to a representative of Enclave Development.

The first floor of the building has 24,500 square feet of retail, commercial or restaurant space, topped by three floors with 67 multi-family luxury condominium units, said Brianna Thompson, the marketing and public relations coordinator for Enclave, Lux Development and Radiant Homes.

Some of the commercial and residential spaces have already been leased, Thompson said Wednesday, June 12.

Construction on the foundation for another phase of the development, an office and retail building with 30,000 square-feet of space altogether on two floors, will likely be started in the next month or two, just west of the four floor first phase, Thompson said.
Other businesses already open at the development are the combined Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bagels on the north side of the site, and Gunderson’s Jewelers on the south side.
