Nationwide, travelers have run into thousands of flight delays or cancellations this summer. In fact, flight tracking site Flight Aware reported over 15,000 delays across the United States for Monday, June 21.

Reasons for these delays, according to travel blog The Points Guy, include weather, overly-ambitious airline schedules and staffing shortages both for airline employees and air traffic controllers.
