FARGO - The Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp. has hired James Gartin as its new president.
Gartin was most recently the president and CEO of the Lenawee Economic Development Corp. in Adrian, Mich. Gartin worked at Ann Arbor Spark before that.
"I am enthusiastic to join the GFMEDC team and participate in the exciting programs which have been initiated," Gartin said in a release, "and I look forward to working with other organizations in a collaborative effort to continue to strengthen the Greater Fargo Moorhead region."
Gartin will begin his new role in early March.
"We are delighted to welcome Jim as our new president," said Brad Schlossman, chairman of the GFMEDC and president and CEO of West Acres Development. "His experience is a great match for our strategic direction, and his collaborative style was welcomed by those who were able to meet him during his visits."

The EDC's mission is to grow the economy of Cass and Clay counties by attracting, expanding and retaining primary-sector businesses.
