HENNING, Minn. — The Board of Directors of Henning Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center have made what it is calling "the difficult decision" to close the skilled nursing facility in Henning.

The board decided to close the care center because the average daily occupancy has declined in recent years and reached a point where it was no longer sustainable to continue operating.

The center is working with the Minnesota Department of Health on the closure process and with government agencies on relocation plans for the 22 residents who reside at the facility.

The center says it will also be arranging employment opportunities for staff at other skilled nursing facilities.
