Wischer graduated from Concordia College 2008 and from the University of North Dakota School of Law, Grand Forks.

His practice will focus on family law, including prenuptial agreements, separations and divorce, adoptions and gestational carrier agreements.

Nurse practitioner joins independent practice

SBA hires economic development specialist

Brittany Sickler has been hired as an economic development specialist for the North Dakota district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Fargo.

A native of Bismarck, she just completed a three-year term with the Peace Corps. In her most recent assignment, she was a volunteer leader in the sustainable community tourism program in Guatemala. She also previously worked for ACCION USA, Miami, as a marketing and outreach specialist.

Sickler has degrees in business administration and Spanish from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master's degree in international community economic development from Southern New Hampshire University.

Schlauderaff promoted to chief financial officer

High Point Networks, West Fargo, has promoted Kelly Schlauderaff to chief financial officer.

4 receive promotions in Cass Sheriff's Office

Jim Thoreson has retired from the Cass County Sheriff's Office after serving 42 years. Thoreson served under three Cass County sheriffs throughout his years and was a chief deputy for 34 years.

The department has promoted Deputy Rick Majerus to chief deputy, Deputy Dean Haaland to sergeant, Deputy Tim Briggeman to corporal and Deputy Eric Swenson to the patrol division as a patrol deputy.

Majerus has been with the Cass County Sheriff's Office for 37 years, starting his career in 1976. He worked in many different areas within the department, with his most recent position being captain.

Haaland will be assigned to the patrol division. He has been with the Cass County Sheriff's Office for 24 years, beginning his career in 1989. Haaland previously held the position of corporal in the patrol division.

Briggeman will be assigned to the patrol division. He began his career in 2004 at the Cass County Jail and was later promoted to the patrol division, where he served as a field training deputy.

Swenson began his career at the Cass County Jail. Prior to his new assignment, he was a CERT team member in the jail and field readiness trained to work in patrol.

Telecommunications project manager hired

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Bryan Gerlach as telecommunications project manager.

Gerlach earned a bachelor's degree in math and science from North Dakota State University and previously was an account manager for Enventis in Fargo. He has more than 15 years of telecommunications experience.

MDA hires Wiger

as executive director

Sue Wiger has been hired as the executive director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

She will oversee the North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota office at 4749 Amber Valley Parkway, Fargo.

Wiger was previously the executive director for Bluestem Center for the Arts, Moorhead, and resource development director at the United Way of Cass-Clay.

Two promoted at VISIONBank in Fargo

VISIONBank in Fargo has promoted Jody Benshoof to senior loan processor and Jayme Kautzman to assistant vice president of compliance.

Benshoof is originally from Jamestown, N.D., and has worked in banking for 33 years. She joined VISIONBank nine years ago as a loan operations specialist.

Kautzman joined VISIONBank in 2010 as a compliance officer and has 16 years of experience in the banking industry. She is originally from Jamestown and is a graduate of Valley City (N.D.) State University with an associate degree in accounting and finance. Kautzman is also a certified community bank internal auditor and a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking.

Minn-Dak Farmers' co-op names new CEO

The Minn-Dak Farmers' Cooperative board of directors, Wahpeton, N.D., has hired Kurt Wickstrom of Chaska, Minn., to succeed Dave Roche as president and chief executive officer. Roche is retiring on Aug. 31 after 12 years as president and CEO.

Wickstrom is currently president of Betaseed, Shakopee, Minn.

TNT Kid's Fitness promotes 2 in Fargo

Amanda Kuchar was promoted as TNT's new outreach program coordinator, and Sarah Anderson as manager to special events and No Bummer Summer program.

Kuchar is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor's degree in physical education. Kuchar is a native of Moorhead, has coached gymnastics for 15 years and has been a USAG judge for five years. She has been with TNT since 2011.

Anderson is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in human development and family science. She has been with TNT since 2012.

Donnalley named  area manager for BSE

Kevin Donnalley has been named area manager for Border States Electric's west region.

He joined BSE in 1997 as a management trainee and has held a variety of positions including southwest region manager, branch operations manager for BSE's Phoenix location, corporate operations manager, south-central and southwest region corporate operations manager and branch manager for the company's Wentzville, Mo., location.

Most recently, he was the alliance manager for the Denver location.

Before joining BSE, Donnalley spent 15 years as a professional football player and college football coach. He was drafted in the seventh round by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1981. From 1976 to 1980, he played football for North Dakota State University, where he received a master's degree in education.
