Northwestern Mutual, Fargo, has hired Mary Jo Foster as investment operations assistant, Beth Halvorson as director of the client relations center and Dustin Herrmann as a financial representative.
Foster, a native of Coon Rapids, Minn., previously worked for Wells Fargo and has more than 15 years of financial experience.

Kommer, Vistad join Blue Cross Blue Shield
Michelle Kommer has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota in Fargo as vice president of human resources and development and Shauna Vistad has joined the company as manager of the special investigations unit in the compliance, audit and corporate ethics division.
Kommer had been with Otter Tail Corp., Fargo, for the last five years, most recently as senior vice president of human resources. She also previously served as a company attorney specializing in employment matters. Kommer earned a law degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, a master's of management degree from the University of Mary, Fargo, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mayville (N.D.) State University.

Tonya Klein has been named director of internal audit. She has been with the company for 18 years and worked in the accounting department throughout the duration of her career and most recently held the position of manager of the financial statement prep and audit team.
Lisa Tschida has been named corporate accountant. She has been with TMI Hospitality for 16 years and started with the company in the financial statements department and was later promoted to team leader.
Becky Fell has been promoted to manager of property accounting. Fell has been with the company for more than 16 years and started in the accounts payable department and also held roles within the special projects team in the financial statements area. Most recently, she returned to the AP department as supervisor.
