Business magazine recognizes Veflin

Vanessa Veflin, a sales and marketing assistant at DFC Consultants, Fargo, has been selected by Business Watch magazine as one of the top 40 professionals in North Dakota under the age of 40.

Northwestern reps receive national awards

Fargo-based Northwestern Mutual financial representatives received company awards at the annual company meeting July 25 in Milwaukee. The names of the representatives and the awards each received include:

Ryan Botner, Emerald, 100 Lives, Life Impact, Best Year Ever; Josh Bach, Achievement, Sapphire, 100 Lives, Best Year Ever; Joe Dobbs, Best Year Ever; Teal Plaine, Gold, 100 Lives, Best Year Ever; Mike Smith, 75 Lives; Neil Van Dam, Silver, 100 Lives, Best Year Ever; Bret Kinzler, Best Year Ever; and Justin Wren. Best Year Ever.

The awards recognize their efforts to help clients achieve financial security, based on production.

They are all representatives with the Gores Network based in Fargo.

Pharmacy tech educator earns national award

Barb Lacher, pharmacy technician associate professor at the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, has been awarded the PTEC Roy Kemp Award.

The nationwide award honors one pharmacy technician educator who has distinguished himself or herself through significant contributions in the field of pharmacy technician education.

Fargo West Rotary elects news officers

Fargo West Rotary has elected officers and board members for 2011-12. Those elected include:

Deb Magnuson, president; John Trombley, president-elect; Ryan McManus, vice president; Jennifer Dahl, secretary; Cory Badinger, treasurer; Heather Johnson-Kjos, past president; and Betty Opheim, club administrator.
