DeVries earns honors from Edward Jones
Matthew DeVries, a financial adviser with Edward Jones, West Fargo, has won the several awards from Edward Firms, including the Frank Finnegan Award for his achievements in building client relationships, the Talent Acquisition Recognition Award for recruiting new people to the firm and the Field Trainer Award for his efforts in voluntarily training new financial awards.
Edwards Jones was also rated the "Highest in Employee Adviser Satisfaction among Financial Investment Firms" by J.D. Power, which ranked seven financial services firms with Edward Jones advisers giving the highest satisfaction ratings in all of the study categories.
SK Food earns Safe Quality Food certification
SK Food Specialty Processing, Moorhead, has earned the Safe Quality Food certification and was granted an "excellent" audit rating. The SQF program is a comprehensive Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points-based food safety and quality management certification system.
SK Food supplies a full line of premium quality ingredients including identity preserved: non-GMO and organic grains, seeds, soybeans, pulses, expeller oils and flours/flakes to industries including food, pet food, nutraceutical and personal care.
Four from Maring Williams named Super Lawyers
Four attorneys from the Maring Williams Law Office were named to the Great Plains Super Lawyers list as top attorneys in North Dakota for 2015 in the area of plaintiff's personal injury work. They are: David Maring, Michael Williams, Daniel Dunn and Duane Lillehaug. Maring Williams has offices in Fargo, Bismarck and Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Super Lawyers is an annual rating service of outstanding lawyers in more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Sanford Health named 2015 Most Wired
For the fifth consecutive year, Sanford Health was named Most Wired by a survey conducted by the American Hospital Association's Health Forum and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
The Most Wired survey and benchmarking study, in partnership with CHIME and sponsored by VMware, is a leading industry barometer measuring information technology use and adoption among hospitals nationwide. The survey of more than 741 participants, representing more than 2,213 hospitals, examined how organizations are leveraging IT to improve performance for value-based health care in the areas of infrastructure, business and administrative management, quality and safety and clinical integration.
Area drivers earn truck driving awards
In June, five local professional truck drivers earned first place in their respective divisions at the North Dakota State Truck Driving Championships: Bryan Wold, Reiles Acres, N.D.; Bradley Morrow, West Fargo; Jonathan Simonson and Ernest Gafkjen, Fargo; and James Larson, Moorhead.
The NDSTDC is a safety-based truck driving competition in which drivers must show their trucking knowledge and professionalism by taking part in a series of skill and safety tests. All five drivers work for Con-way Freight, Fargo. Their achievements earned them spots in the National Truck Driving Championships in St. Louis, which will take place Aug. 11-15.
Spitfire team wins Back to Mayberry BBQ
The competition barbecue team from Spitfire Bar & Grill, West Fargo, was named the reserve grand champion at the Back to Mayberry BBQ on July 4 in Whiting, Iowa.
Spitfire placed second in overall points and was awarded first place in the chicken category and third place in the pork ribs category.
Bank recognized in 'Nifty Fifty' ranking
First International Bank & Trust, Fargo, placed 21st on the "Nifty Fifty" ranking list of the top 50 U.S. banks that were the most successful at growing their trust operations in 2014.
The list is produced by Bank Director Magazine.
Olson earns All American Commander status
Devlon "Jamie" Olson has achieved All American status as a post commander. Olson is commander of Arthur W. Jones Post 7564 in West Fargo and is one of only 130 VFW post commanders selected worldwide for All American Commander.
Those selected obtain the honor based on their outstanding achievement in membership growth and participation in VFW programs.
Fremstad attorneys named Rising Stars
Three attorneys from Fremstad Law have been named 2015 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers, the Thomson Reuters lawyer rating service.

EAPC named a Best Place to Work For
EAPC Architects Engineers, a design consulting firm, has been named one of the best
firms to work for in the United States and Canada by Zweig Group, a management consulting and research company for the architecture, engineering and environmental consulting industry.
EAPC was selected for two awards including Zweig Group's Architecture and Multi-Discipline categories. Awards are based on factors such as workplace practices, employee benefits and retention rates.
EAPC has offices in Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck, Williston and Minot, N.D.; St. Paul and Bemidji, Minn.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Fort Collins, Colo.; Norwich, Vt.; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ibach named Agent of the Year
Goldmark Schlossman Commercial Real Estate Services, Fargo, has named Lori Ibach the 2014 Agent of the Year.
The recognition is based on a variety of performance measures and voting by her peers. Ibach has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience.
Dakota CDC elects board members
Dakota Certified Development Corp. re-elected to its board of directors Dan Carey of Fargo, Marlowe Johnson of Ottertail, Minn., and Rich Becker of Grand Forks, N.D. Each will serve a three-year term.
Re-elected officers serving a one-year term include Chris Jundt of Williston, N.D. as chairman, Lori Gabriel of Bismarck as vice chairwoman and Carey as secretary/treasurer.
Kallhoff earns Certified Residential Specialist Designation
Anne Kallhoff earned the Certified Residential Specialist Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, which is the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Those who earn the CRS Designation have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate. Only 37,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential.
Vogel Law Firm attorneys named Rising Stars
