FARGO - The Small Business Administration has awarded the North Dakota Trade Office a $287,694 state trade and export promotion grant.

The money is part of $17.4 million in funding the SBA is making available to states and territories to support increased exporting by small businesses.

Minnesota was awarded $564,132 in STEP funds.

North Dakota will use STEP funds to help eligible small business concerns participate in international trade missions, reverse trade missions and market expansion trips to Norway, China, India and other markets.

STEP funds will also be used to provide qualifying small businesses access to the International Visitor Program at Big Iron, ExporTech training and market research.
