FARGO - The Jasper Hotel, nearing completion in downtown Fargo’s RDO Building, has started taking online reservations for rooms as of May 26, according to the boutique hotel’s website .
The hotel at 215 Broadway N. is also booking meetings and events in its ballroom and other meeting areas, according to Facebook postings.
Recruitment and training of staff is ongoing as construction continues on the 125-room hotel and its Rosewild restaurant.
“We’re delighted and excited,” to be part of Fargo’s downtown, General Manager Mary Orlando said Monday, March 1.
“We’re still scheduled for a spring opening. The hotel is still under construction, but we’re really excited as we build our team. We’re slowly bringing on all of our associates. We have our leadership team, a few of them that just started today,” Orlando said.

The Jasper's guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over downtown and surrounding area. The fifth floor Continental Ballroom accommodates 250-guests. There is also a 1,500 square-foot outdoor terrace. Overall, there is about 4,500 square feet of event space available.
A state-of-the-art fitness facility includes Peloton equipment. The Jasper also opens onto Broadway Square, a community plaza designed to host seasonal ice skating, live music, outdoor festivals, and other special events.
Orlando has managed other properties for the Chicago-based Aparium Hotel Group, but this is her first stint coordinating the full opening of an Aparium hotel as the general manager.

“Being able to open the Aparium property here in downtown Fargo is just something I’m super excited to do,” she said.
The hotel includes the Rosewild restaurant, a cafe and lounge.
“Our target goal is to open the entire property, the entire hotel at the same time,” Orlando said.

“The opening of Jasper Hotel and Rosewild restaurant, café, and lounge is another important step to the rebirth and transformation of downtown Fargo,” said Mike Allmendinger, president of Kilbourne Group, a partner in the construction of the RDO Building. “The hotel design and atmosphere will be a perfect fit to the urban and cultural experiences you can only have in downtown Fargo.”
The Aparium Hotel Group was founded in 2012. It currently operates nine hotels in the U.S., with an additional three (including the Jasper) planned to open this year.
The Jasper brings competition to the downtown hotel scene, which has been dominated by the Radisson (now a Radisson Blu at 201 5th St. N.) and the 17-room luxury Hotel Donaldson, 101 N. Broadway.
A recently completed $6-million plus remodeling of the Radisson by the Brandt Hospitality Group turned it into a 151-room “upper upscale” Radisson Blu.
More information on the Jasper Hotel and Rosewild restaurant is available online at jasperfargo.com , and on Facebook and Instagram, Orlando said.
