WEST FARGO - Jordahl Custom Homes is in the process of remodeling a new home for itself.

The firm is doing fit-up construction in the former Carpet Tile & Stone building at 2832 Sheyenne St. S. for its offices.

President Rob Jordahl said he expects to move the firm's employees from the Fargo office at 4802 Amber Valley Parkway South sometime in March.

The roughly 20,000 square feet of space in the building south of Interstate 94 will be welcome, Jordahl said Tuesday, Jan. 22.

“We ran out of space in our current location years ago,” Jordahl said. “We’ve pretty much been stifled in this building for a while. This opportunity presented itself and ... we felt we should move forward with it.”

Jordahl Custom Homes has been building homes for about 20 years, and in its current digs for 12 to 13 years.

“We’ve just run out of space,” Jordahl said.

Despite the challenge of another summer of road widening on Sheyenne, Jordahl said the company will be well-served by the new location of its offices.

“I see that there’s a lot of growth in that area,” the homebuilder said. “There’s some exciting new buildings under construction . … It is a very popular end of the world.”
