FARGO-The Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation has named Paul Lucy as its interim president, the nonprofit announced in a written statement Thursday, March 15.

Lucy has 29 years of experience in economic development and served as the director of the Economic Development & Finance Division of the North Dakota Department of Commerce from October 2006 to January 2017.

That agency delivered North Dakota programs and project support to communities and stakeholders across North Dakota to attract, expand and start businesses.

Since April 2017, Lucy has been providing contract services to organizations seeking economic development expertise.

"We are confident that Lucy will provide consistent leadership as we continue our search for a new EDC President. We are pleased to have found someone with his depth of experience in economic development," said Jeff Volk, EDC chairman and president of Moore Engineering.
