MOORHEAD-A long-running auto collision shop here recently got new owners.

Michael Bednar and Chris Czernek, longtime employees at Larry's Auto Body, 128 16th St. N., announced in a Facebook post last month that they're the new co-owners of the business. The two have a combined 38 years in the auto body industry, including 32 years at Larry's, according to the announcement.

Larry's Auto Body was established in 1949 by Lawrence "Larry" Fortier, according to Forum archives. Fortier died in 1996 and his wife, Gloria Fortier, took over the family business with her sons serving as managers.

The Facebook announcement didn't say when Bednar and Czernek officially became owners of the business, which was family-owned until the purchase.
