A Moorhead man has been sentenced to four years in prison on a methamphetamine charge.

Tino Rodriguez, 32, 213 16th St. S., pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit a fourth-degree controlled substance crime.

He admitted in court that he agreed with three or more people to manufacture methamphetamine in Clay County between Jan. 1, 1001 and Feb. 28 of this year.

Rodriguez was given credit for time served since February.

Judge Kathleen Weir's sentence was an upward departure from sentencing guidelines.

He was fined $1,000, with $500 stayed, given 60 days in jail, and credit for time already served.

Thomas told the court he kicked open the door of a Moorhead home in March and entered it because he believed a resident was selling drugs to his friends and "I was tired of seeing people hurt."

Thomas said had he found any drugs he probably would have taken them to authorities.

"Basically I was just sick of it (the alleged dealing) and no one was taking care of it. I went about it the wrong way," Thomas said.

- Robert A. Guy, 25, 906 5th St. N., Fargo, was convicted of criminal sexual conduct.

He was fined $50 and given six months in jail, which he has already served.
